This was actually a comment to a post on my girlfriends blog.

Gaga's New Album Will Change The World
The singer, who recently announced the LP’s title as Born This Way, believes her music has the ability to liberate people.
“The album is my absolute greatest work I’ve ever done and I’m so excited about it,” she told RWD Magazine.
“The message, the melodies, the direction, the meaning, what it will mean to my fans and what it will mean in my own life – it’s utter liberation.
“I knew I had an ability to change the world when I started to receive letters from fans: ‘You saved my life…’ ‘I’m gay and my parents threw me out…’
“My fans have related to me as a human being and as a non-human being – as a super-human person that I truly am.”
The ‘Alejandro’ star also said that she is not arrogant, insisting that music is the only thing she feels confident about.
She continued: “Everyone tells me I’m arrogant but my music’s the only thing I’ve got, so you’ll have to let me be confident about one thing. I suppose that’s what you can expect from the album: a lot of hit records that will piss people off.
“Beyoncé said: ‘Where the fuck do you get these ideas from?’ And I was like: ‘I don’t know Bee, it was just the way I was born’.”
My Comment, which, I realized I felt so strongly about, I had to post it here:
She's making the Taylor Swift heart you happened to mention the other day.. Do you see the brainwashing? 4 days ago you said if you saw Taylor Swift do that one more time you were going to, "Flip a shit". But it's different, it's Gaga.. Right?.. Ok, now to the real issue at hand.
A lot of hit records or a lot of outright lies? Lets be serious, over time now, a lot of fucking people have sold a lot of records. A lot of fucking people have had a lot of fans. But all vitriol towards her is based on only selling a lot of records? Let me guess, shes claiming to be the first person to do that now too? Let's be serious about this .. "Change the world" .. It's music, it makes some people feel good, I get it. But "change the world"..? No, not what-so-ever. When has she ever specifically spoke out on gay and lesbian issues in her actual music? Her music is the same nonsensical pop party jams with a porn star vocabulary sprinkled in. A lot of celebrities are involved in charities and helping people out, most don't need big signs flashing saying, "Look at me, look at me, I care, I care!!!" How about her videos? They speak on gay and lesbian issues by turning them in to her own fantasies? Is a large orgy, with her (a female) as the centerpiece actually doing anything to promote a gay cause at all? "I'm gay, and my parents threw me out" .. so her music saved their lives? Doubtful. I point back to my previous point of her songs not actually promoting her "cause", but are just pop tunes that get stuck in your head .. Like most music. People tell me all the time I save their lives -- See, it doesn't have to be true to say it. And honestly, she has shown me she's more often to fib than tell the truth. And by the time her next album comes out, she'll be telling you THAT one is her greatest work too.. It's entertainment baby, the greatest lies ever told... so it goes.
